Indianapolis Public Library - Branch Landscape Analysis
Indianpolis Public Library engaged Mader Design in 2012 to provide assessments and recommendations for each of their owned Branches and properties throughout the city. After significant droughts the prior two summers, and with numerous aging facilities, our task was to assess landscape and hardscape at each property while also reviewing original design documents. From each assessment and understanding original design intent, we worked with library staff to outline recommendations for tree and plant removals, parking lot and sidewalk improvements, and new landscaping opportunities. The project evolved into the development of maintenance/design plans and budgets, then into bid documents with plans for each property to re-establish landscape and hardscape in keeping with the Library’s mission.
