Juan Solomon Park

Landscape Architecture, Site Planning, & Urban Design

Posted by on Oct 1, 2012 in Parks, Projects

Juan Solomon Park on the northwest side of Indianapolis was recently redeveloped as part of a broader infrastructure project for the city. Jeff’s work included concept design through construction documents as he worked with in-house architects, the civil engineers leading the broader infrastructure project, DPW and Indy Parks. The park features a new playground, relocated picnic shelter, and numerous site improvements, including many sustainable features. Jeff was involved in the design of the green roof on the building, raingardens and bioretention, pervious pavement throughout the parking lot and service drives, trail heads, the playground, retaining walls, and site amenities. Working with Michelle Taggart while at Synthesis, they completed site layout, preliminary grading design, landscape plans, and provided input for the building design and civil engineering.
