Reid Health (Reid Hospital, ROC North, and additional MOB’s - Richmond, IN & Greenville, OH)

Mader Design provided an analysis and recommendations for the hospitals main campus landscape as well as 19 additional properties across three counties in Indiana. With previous planting plans and onsite observations of an already extensive landscape, Mader Design performed a full analysis to reveal areas to supplement plants and new species to fill any gaps in year-round seasonal interests. Considerations were given to flower, foliage, berry, and branch colors, the time of the year they appear or change, and branching patterns of each species. Reid Hospital was provided with concept designs for several areas around the campus with a list of recommended species and an estimate for installation and maintenance costs. Upon completion of the assessments, Mader Design was called upon to provide construction documentation packages for both the main campus and several of their other facilities.

Reid Orthopedic Center was renovated in 2013 with an addition to the building and parking lot at the rear. Located within view from the interstate I70, Reid Hospital wanted the center to have a landscape that would be visible and eye catching from the interstate and have year-round interest as with the main hospital campus. Mader Design provided construction documentation for the site including parking lot screening and shading, entry feature and monumental signage plantings, a patio space for staff use, prairie plantings and retention pond bank plantings.

Greenville MOB in Ohio is a new facility and continues our work with Reid Health. We provided detailed design work for people spaces throughout the campus, including staff break areas and a large entry plaza that will serve as a respite for patients, family, doctors, and staff. Fountains, seat walls, intricate paving patterns and landscape materials all create a warm welcoming place. We also provided design work for landscaping throughout the campus.
