  The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis Intermodal Phase 2 was completed in the summer of 2009. This award winning project was designed with 3 key principles in mind…education, environment, and FUN!   With LEED Certification goals in mind, the site design incorporated as many aspects of “green” as possible. The integrated sustainable site features have been shown to keep over 42% of the rainwater hitting the site out of the combined sewer system in the neighborhood, and over 60% reduction during times of peak flow.   Jeff worked with in-house architects and the owner while at Schmidt for this corporate headquarters in Indianapolis, just south of the Children’s Museum. The owner wanted to increase visibility, provide new entrances, and display their corporate philosophy emphasizing technology within their physical environment.
